    Motor over rev pls help

    I have a 2005 25 hp yamaha 4 stroke wot is getting 6200 rpm manufacture suggested is 5500 max is 6000 ... The prop I have on is size 9 7/8 x 10 1/2 F can anyone suggest a prop size that will be safe yet keep a good top speed? Not so conserned about hole shot thanks a lot

    Thanks to all the help eveyone has given me with my first boat. I've now gotten a tiny tach to decide on a propeller . I look at the manuel and it says idle is 950 +- 50 and wot at 5000 to 6000 recomended 5500... Mine is ideling at about 1170-1220 and wot at 6100-6200 I'm guessing that this is...

    I have a 05 yam 25 4 stroke on a 16 ft Carolina skiff with a light load.. Motor has stock prop but I hear the stock one runs short of max rpms ..
