Hi, I am about to install my riser gasket and I am getting conflicting information on whether to use a thin layer of high temp gasket cement on the gasket around the water ports. Everyone agrees not to use any on the gasket cement around the exhaust.
should i add any around the water ports of the gasket or not? I’m leaning towards not adding any. I heard that even a thin layer can cause the gasket to not fit properly.

Great documentation. Is there more of that for the rest of the engine?
Ayuh,....... It took quite awhile, with many brow beatings, 'n even phone calls, but ole DonS, convinced me to put a dab of Prefect Seal, on any part, or bolt you think you might want to take apart again someday, or even the parts or bolts you think you'll never ever want to remove someday,.......
Especially anywhere a book, or somebody says to use never-seize,......
Use Perfect Seal,.......
