I am replacing my prop shaft (bent) and upon re-install, my plates that help secure the hub in place are not sitting flush. I have pulled everything apart and reinstalled with the same results. When I snug down the bolts to secure the hub the prop shaft becomes tight and will not turn. I am racking my brain on this and can't seem to figure what is not correct.
I have followed the lower gearcase break down (parts list attached) and have every thrust washer, bearing and washer in the correct place. Not understanding why the hub will not seat all the way with little play. The forward pump is all the way in but when I tap in the hub I can hear that it is all the way in, but the tightening plates are not sitting flat. I'm at a loss.
