The drive shaft housing attaches to the bell housing with 6 bolts. There is a tremendously large seam created where these two join together, what stops the water from leaking in, filling that 6"diameter tunnel and ruining the U joints on the drive?
Is there a large diameter ring gasket kit I am missing?
Yes I have the small ring gaskets from Bravo Installation Kit 16755T
that go around the shifter and oil line and the polygon that goes around the water pick up chamber, but whats protecting the U joints? The U joint bellows aluminum holder ring looks to meet up where my Philips head is pointed. Is there a big ring gasket or plumbers putty supposed to be installed there? That annular channel on mine is full of old grease or something.
Or a more complex gasket sheet that goes where the dental pick is pointed?
There is a kit for the Alphas ; Quicksilver 94996Q2 Bell Housing Installation Gasket Kit. What about Bravos and Bravo 3 in particular?
