Hi guys. I redid the impeller on the motor this spring and hit the lake for a weekend. Noticed a sheen on the water behind the boat that I believe is due to oil spilled in the cowling slowly dripping out. At least that’s my hope. It’s not from the power trim and I don’t think it’s coming from the lower unit vent or drain as there’s nothing on the garage floor. I cleaned the engine and put it on muffs yesterday and noticed water draining from the cowling above the lower unit (not the lower unit itself).
It hadnt happened before (that I noticed) and I went back to my videos of previous years to verify.
Just with the muffs, motor not running, everything is normal. Motor running, in neutral, normal. Clicked into gear, water comes out the different spot. I’ve attached pics showing. I have video as well
Is this something I just hadn’t noticed before and everything’s good? Or did I bugger something up doing the impeller? Need to see a mechanic or am I overthinking things?
Thanks fellas

Mike
