Just make sure the tablet has gps.
The app for the US is $20, then you download as many map regions as you want.

If you want US and Canada regions, its $25.

Just got my new set up. Went for a 55 buck android, 27 bucks for the mount, 20 for the app. Pretty happy....

great solution for northern states.

the only problem down here in Florida, is the phones and tablets shut off when exposed to the sun due to overheat (both iPhone and Android). plus you cant see the screen unless down below in the cabin. its iffy with the bimini up.. if you leave the phone or tablet in the sunlight, they get so hot the screen shatters.

Yeah I've been thinking about building a shaded spot for it. Got flooring leftovers and some street signs and some angle should be able to figure it out. Prob go wood for thermal reasons.
