1957 seaswirl restoration

ok so im restoring everything from bow to stern on this boat i need to get parts that the boat don't have anymore where can I go to get them or have them custom made

rub rail
wind shield
steering assembly

any help is greatly appreciated

I got the boat it was only a shell but all the floor supports were rotten and the floor was gone I took everything down to good wood and fiberglass

You are glad you had the demo mostly all done. Now you can build up how you want. I'll follow thread but I'm not a fiberglass guy. Lots of them here and I'm sure they will join in.

I am I got done with the floor supports now just waiting on a paycheck or two so I can get the rest of the wood

most likely not i don't know how to do it plus if I need to replace it in the future I want to be able to do it

Wood boat restorers use a product called CPES, Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer. Folks like to coat each piece of wood and soak it in good before installing it. The idea is that if any piece gets wet that every other piece is isolated from it by a waterproof coating. I was talking to my brother in law about the wood deck he said to use fiberglass to mend the seams and a to coat the rest in resin I may go that route for waterproofing unless that's not right then I'll just go with the epoxy
