I removed the gimbal bearing without issue and decided that I should probably replace the Driveshaft Seal that is behind the gimbal bearing. I can not get a good bite on the seal with the slide hammer puller I have. Yes, I have read that this seal normally does not need to be replaced - but there is no turning back now - the seal is definitely no good. I am going to try my conventional Lisle seal puller, but I do not think that I will get enough force to remove the seal.
