I found a 2007 Evinrude 115 HP with basically 60 hours on it. What should I offer?

Can you work on this motor yourself ?----Do you have a local boat shop that will work on it now and a few years from now?

I think so. It is the ETEC. I am use to working on much more mechanical outboards without all of the electronics.

Never really dealt with Evinrude. Might want to check parts availability at local shops first, these older niche motors can be tricky to source parts for.

I think that if your used to less technical engines (like me ) I d stick with what you know
I am no expert on e tech motors but I have heard enough to make me leary specially if they are not your particular can of worms .😁

I find these electronic powered motors to be far more difficult to work on, and these electric gizmos are expensive ! Give me the more mechanical motors anytime...my current motor is a 1992 Merc, the newest motor I have ever owned in my 60 years of boat owning and it has been excellent !
