Tire grew in size?

St 215/75/13 tire on my boat trailer has developed a problem. The one tire on the left has expanded about 1 1/2 inches compared to the other side(same brand and model tires with manufacturer date within a few weeks of each other (2019). Tires have about 2,500 miles on them. Anyone seen this before? I suspect the tire got some kind of impact from a pothole?

Assuming you’ve checked tire pressure and they are both the same I’d replace the fat tire now without delay. As I look more closely They are obviously different tires , different tread design. They may be the same brand but they are not even close to the same tire. I’d either get a new tire that perfectly matches the other or I’d just replace both with matching new ””trailer “ tires. I see that the tires are 6 years old and are probably older depending on manufacturer date. Replace them both. Trailer tires are way different and should be replaced after 5 to 7 years regardless of wear. Me personally I’m a stickler for tires. I’d replace them both.

Sorry they are different models. When I compared the fat tire to the exact model and make on the other side of the trailer there is the same difference as when comparing to my different model spare tire from the photo.

By looking at the thread types, it seems that only one is a trailer tire. The one in the foreground with the length wise thread. The other one looks like a mud and snow tire for a car, not a trailer tire at all

Way out of the realm but a good example. 20x10x8 Carslile Turfmaster made in USA vs China will be roughly 1/2” in diameter different. You won’t be able to mow with one of each. Tire size is meaningless across lines and even country of origin

Sorry. The picture shows the affected tire next to my spare tire. Both load star but different models. Both trailer tires with
st 215/75/14 size on sidewall.
The non affected tire is installed on the other side of the trailer and is the same make and model as the affected tire. The affected tire is over 1.5 inches in diameter than the other tire on the trailer and the different tread spare.

I think you better start over. You stated the tires were St 215/75/13, yet the pics say St 215/75/14, which you later admit, in the Mean time you are saying one is a Spare...
Both tires in the Pic are Trailer Tires
Like I said, start over.

to be fair…the US made 24x24x12 turf master tires on my zero turn are different sizes.
Exmark gives instructions on stretching them out to match circumference
