Anyone using Garmin UHD with Smartcraft Gateway for engine parameters?

Hello. Am shopping for a Chartplotter for my 06 Sunesta 236 equipped with Mercruiser 5.7. Along with navigation/fish finding I'm interested in how well the engine parameter monitoring works. Are things like the engine temperature, oil psi, RPM stats easy to access? TIA.

Depends on what you call “easy access”.

Unless you have separate displays for navigation, sonar and motor, you will either be flipping pages all the time or you will need a magnifying glass to read the display if you run split screen

I run separate, full screen displays for nav and sonar functions. Units are NMEA 2000 networked for navigation redundancy.

Kept my helm mounted analog gauges for constant and effortless monitoring of engine functions
