Flywheel magnets

Replacing a flywheel on my 96 mercury 25EL outboard. Finding some have 2 magnets some 4. Same pt# will they interchange.

If you don't get any positive replies and a dealer can't help you and the magnets are cheap, buy both and test till you get the right answer.

Get the manual , because I think the 4 magnet stator has a red stator.

Pretty sure 4 magnet was for AC lighting. Will work on both

I don't know, I have the 4 magnet flywheel and the red stator. There is no accessory on lighting on my motor
