OTF and glue question

I want to build a custom carry box for my foldable stove. It has a light canvas bag but that won't lat long so thinking I use the leftover MDO plywood from the floor to build a storage box to keep on the box, under some cover but it's a boat so...

MDO IS premium ply but also would want to OTF it like I did on the floor but if I do that will it interfere with any glue joints I do?

Being an oil based finish, OTF (Old Timers Formula) may hamper adhesion of glue if treated before assembly and glue joints.

Although you could sand back to raw wood in the glue joints.

I'd Use TB3 and assemble the box, then go crazy w the OTF.

During assembly be sure to treat end grain of the MDO thats going to be buried in the joint w liberal glue to well seal the end grain.....

Joe, build the box first, then slather in Woody's OTF.

Could also glue and screw PVC together. They make a new glue for HDPE that is possible route. But you have the MDO already

Yeah the cut loss on the mdo was really bad. If I could have gotten 10 footer it would have been almost nothing.

This will be stored under the helm so not too worried about it but since I do have the wood and two pints of OTF might as well use l
