Are you sure its smaller?
Housing is exactly the same size on both.Housing is smaller but not sure hole is smaller based on the pucture..
I don't think it matters, the fuel line to the carbs steps down to a smaller fuel line right awayHousing is exactly the same size on both.
Every part is identical except fuel out.
Had a small air leak in my original so I took the fuel out fitting and put it on the 50hp one.
Going to fire it up tomorrow
Id really like to keep the VRO.Have you considered mixing 50:1 in the tank. Did that with a 1990 Johnson 140 VRO and it idled perfectly. Wish I had done it much sooner.
Perfect answer. Many videos on it and always buy the best quality parts that are out there....usually OEM.Id really like to keep the VRO.
I dont mind fixing and learning about this engine.
OMC recommends 5/16” fuel lines up to 115 HP and 3/8” for 115 HO and above.I have a VRO pump off a 2002 Johnson 90hp and one from a 2001 50hp.
Is the only difference, is that the fuel/oil mix outlet is smaller on the VRO from the 50hp?
Thanks
