Cut a lil slab of leftover teak, made some gaskets and a big plastic washer, and got the raw water intake installed last night finally. It is a 1 piece stainless unit for maximum impact and abrasion durability. (The marelon fitting I almost used felt flimsy and just wrong.) I believe I installed it without any metal to metal contact, not even the threads. Going to continuity check it at some point to see. Have a nice new SS ball valve for it coming in this week to complete my poor man's non ferrous non plastic seacock assembly.

Weekend progress update. Canceled all white, way too ______. Almost went back to its original 2 tone olive green and white color scheme that was painted over long ago but then decided with the admiral on the 2 tone white and yellow aka 1974 factory "gold" look. Only 1 coat in some places and 2 in others so far, probably finish out with 3.

Started on the railings. 36" high from the cockpit deck matches the dash height and feels about right. Need to finish trimming the pieces and get it all riveted in place. Going with a center passageway aft and a port side passage to the bow I think. Deck feels roomy.

Hey thanks! The railings were a must with the admiral and my dog onboard. Glad I went with aluminum. Crazy light, esp for their strength, and real easy to cut and work with.

The hull is alll scratched to hell from a previous life. Guessing they had it moored to a piece of sharp angle iron sticking out of the water or something judging by all the nasty scrapes.
I have not tried to improve it yet but the plan is to repaint it white and add the signature Starcraft spear point to the side in the same yellow when I can. Love the classic 2 tone paint jobs and accents they did back then.

Finally added the Adventurer wet bar beneath the mini library! Boat has 3 damn sinks now.. 🤦‍♂️ It's getting out of hand, but it's going to be super convenient too. Also been working on electrical panels, deck boards and whatnot but that's not very exciting. Hoping to have engine compartment blowers wired and installed by this weekend to be another step closer to engine install time. Still so much to do.20250911_170300.jpg20250911_145952.jpg20250911_230915.jpg
