If the transom wood is getting soft, it could have swelled up and stopped temporarily. Drill a few test holes and if dry, then you can scratch that off the list.

ok so I have a new theory... is it possible that my grey water tank is leaking? Here's why I wonder. I never use my grey water system and it's only hooked up to my head. I was just thinking about it and these leaks started after the first time in months I ever flushed the toilet. I think there was some grey water in the tank but I'm not 100% sure. I flushed it because the coast guard was inspecting my discharge outlet and securing it so it wouldn't open as discharge is illegal here or something. They put a little orange dye pill in the toilet and had me flush it to make sure it wasn't discharging overboard. That's when water started filling my bilge. The water was noticeably tinted brown although it didn't smell bad. I figured it was rust or oil or dirt in the bilge or something coloring the water. And like I said water has been filling the bilge since I flushed the toilet that first time, or thereabouts, I can't remember exactly.

The day I noticed that the leak stopped, I also noticed that my grey tank was empty. Figured that was weird as I think there was liquid in there at one point. I thought I would test this. So I got another dye pack and dyed about 2.5 gallons of water bright blue. Definitely had some liquid in my grey water tank after that. Left for a few days, and came back and there was water leaking out of the grey water tank, but this water was bright yellow. It was pooling around the tank and towards the hull wall, not really going toward the bilge. I am not sure if it ever would have spilled into the bilge. The bilge was still dry.

So I guess what would have to have happened: The first dye went in and toilet flushed, but the water with the first (yellow/orange) dye never made it into the grey water tank. Then what was left in the grey water tank could have leaked out. And then the leak could have stopped because the tank was empty.

And then when I put the blue water down there.... it pushed the yellow water, which was still in the pipes, I guess, through to the grey water tank, where it leaked out. And I guess the blue water is still in the pipes, or something?

Does any of this seem plausible or am I barking up the wrong tree again? It's just such a coincidence that these leaks/bilge water would have started around the same time that I flushed my toilet for the first time in months, and then the grey water tank definitely leaks.... but what I'm stuck on is, if there was grey water in the tank this whole time, which I think there was, what made it start leaking just now? And how could the yellow dye stay in the pipes for this long? But if this isn't what happened, where is this yellow liquid around my grey water tank coming from?

I feel like something really weird is going on around my grey water system but I can't figure out exactly what just yet. So mostly I'm just rambling here.

If your head empties into your gray water tank, something is seriously wrong. Heads empty into the black water tank. And if you have dyed water in your bilge, the only place that could have come from would be the dye that was put in your head to begin with. At least it sounds like you figured out where the water is coming from.
