I think I'll snug up the bolts so they don't move "freely", but will adjust under the boat's weight.

EDIT:
Can't. The bunk brackets must have bushings in there. The bolts are "ugga" tight and the bunks move freely.
I guess AI is wrong again. This is designed to move like this.
Spacers and or washers, or modifying the bushings, can be done to snug things up. Some trailer mfgrs have a stop built into the mount that limits the travel of the bunk. Without pics I can't tell.

No trailer can unload & reload a boat easily. If the boat does not float off and onto the trailer easily.
Too low of a water level is frustrating everytime. Been there with others.

Hmmmm. Where are all the trailers with a bunk down the center, under the engine??? I've never seen one.
I don't see how it would help. The engine is either up on the top of the transom for outboards, or sitting on mounts against the stringers for inboards. Either way, the weight might be centered, but isn't supported dead center on the trailer.
