I know people that have piloted ships across the Atlantic and North Sea in winter gales. they all stated, that is a cake walk compared to the great lakes during a storm

waves on the great lakes get the same height however are closer together than in the ocean.

Lightfoot owned a wooden sailboat himself.---Custom built by Vic Carpenter. Called the---Golden Goose-----I believe it is in EUROPE now.
