I have found a few spanners and sockets , a big crow bar and snig chain , I have lost a washing machine off a well side truck , rally driving the work truck away from the customers house , it bounced once and cleared the fence and landed in the field . I was in a truck that was passed by the range that was on the back as we slowed for an intersection . and I have seen a 22cubic foot freezer grow wings and fly off the trailer in front of use . I followed a guy all the way from Invercargill to Riverton ( I was going that way ) and watched him loose about a ton of sand as it slipped out thru the gaps in the trailer . I saw a guy in the rear view mirror lose a ton of coal when his trailer got a bad dose of the speed wobbles ( we had both just been at the coal mine getting a load ). I nearly got taken out by a boat on a trailer that had broken loose from the tow vehicle coming towards me on my Ducati
Haha wow, that’s a whole lifetime of road stories right there. Glad you made it through all that flying hardware in one piece!

There was a fella driving back from the coast when he was pulled over by a police car. He became a little irate as soon as he saw the blue lights.

The police officer said "Calm down, I only pulled you over because you have a tail bulb out".

The fella said "Yeah but where's my ******* boat gone?". lol.

I was towing my bowrider home after purchase (used) and about halfway home, on a stretch of 2-lane blacktop, I watched in my rearview as the tan platform took flight. I didn't know the seller didn't secure it.

Couldn't even get home with it before damaging the boat. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I pickup up one of the I/O ski boats from a maintenance shop. They had to lift the motor to replace the fuel pump so the big hinged engine cover had to be removed. About the time I hit 35 mph I watched it blow open. They had left the latch out when they reinstalled the cover. Fortunately, I had a ratchet strap and was able to get it home without damaging anything. The latch and mounting hardware was laying next to the motor.

My wife always asks “what’s wrong?” or “what are you looking at?” because I try to keep an eye on what I am towing.
