The only ground bees I have encountered are bumblebees. Honey bees will swarm. They are a lot of fun to encounter while trimming trees. I cut through a limb with a hive I didn’t see in it. Not many places to run when 40 feet up in a bucket truck. Thank goodness I am not allergic to them.
The carpenter bees I have sprayed with carb cleaner barely made it out of the hole, let alone flew or went into attack mode. Pretty potent stuff but it will ruin most paint. Much faster working than the insecticides I have tried.
