I have rebuild my transom on 1996 keener 21 ft CC then I Installed the motor, its not right because the left rear digs deep when I take off and the rooster tail sprays high on the right side. Im going to install a jack plate and bigger motor, I. Going to plug the top holes, how do I measured the get the motor online with my boat? I measured across the top, and that didn't work. Thanks

I'm wondering if the motor is off center, horizontally, port to starboard?

OR... Is the motor not perpendicular to the water surface?

I can see if the holes are centered on the transon, making sure the motor Is centered horizontaly, just pulled the old motor. Im waiting on lift plates,
How would I know if the motor is not on the boat vertically, not leaning to one side a fraction of an inch?

After removing the motor, I have started working on a 5" lift bracks for my new to me motor . I used the 2 bottom holes and plugged the to.
The new brack dose no ise the top holes. My question the bolts holes in the new riser plate are of in with.

The new brack dose no ise the top holes. My question is do the bolts holes have enough play to compensate the difference?
