Im an 18v ecosystem. It comes in a 40v as well.

Anyone speak to the diff in performance?

40v will last longer, have more power, and be heavier to lug around. Depends on what you want to cut and how heavy you want the saw to be.

I have a ryobi pole saw, more power is not going to make that 8" bar with safety chain perform noticeably better. Besides every couple cuts you need to stop to clear the debris out of your eyes.

Well, I use my Ryobi Sawsall with a course blade to prune trees. Change the blade for other things like steel. Try that with a mini-chainsaw

At old house, flat ground so no issues using a ladder and a sawsall. New hous is on about an 80 degree slope so no ladders

My boss has all 40volt stuff and loves them. he stated so much more power and longevity than the lower voltage

I have had a kobalt 40v weed Wacker that has done good service for several years. By the time the battery needs recharging I need recharging.

My stihl lawn mower takes 1 sometimes 2 beers to charge the battery.
