    1999 force 40hp will not start

    I reamed out the nozzle and then checked the float height. I will be honest, I realized I put the float on upside down, probably 2-3 times. A few starts later carb is sparkling clean and she is purring like a kitten.I appreciate all the help. Thank you.

    I have an aftermarket manual but it doesn’t specify. I have fuel all the way to the float. Needle is new and not a speck of debris in the needle seat. Does the main nozzle just tap down top to bottom. Boat supply has the nozzles if I need to replace just not sure I am doing it correctly.

    We am almost thinking I am going to need to punch out the main nozzle. Seems to get fuel in the bowl fine. Just won’t get it in to the combustion chamber. I am assuming to punch that out from the top?

    yes, just pulled the carb again and the bulb was full. I also cleaned out the pin in the center of the carb. Hoping that is the probably. I used a sewing needle to get into the hole and carb cleaner. I can blow on all ports of the carb and get airflow.

    Also all fuel is brand new. Emptied the gas can and started over and using Lucas oil 2 stroke oil.

    I pulled the carb completely apart and cleaned all the debris out of the ports. I have good compression and spark. I am wonder if not the needle port but the one in the center could still have debris I can’t see?
