    Yamaha 250 HPID rapid RPM uncotrolled increase

    My Yamaha 250 HPID 2004 experiences a rapid uncontrolled increase in RPM at about 2500 RPM. Boat slows. I can operate at about 10 knots or so without this problem occurring. Can anyone advise me of possible causes?

    High oil consumpton Yamaha 250 HPID

    My 2004 Yamaha Z250TXR has an oil to gas rato of 23 to 1. Exhust smoke is present. The oil pump and control electronics and plugs have been replaced twice. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be wrong? My warranty is running out.
