    Which Repair Manual?

    I have a 1972 9.8hp merc outboard. i'm looking to do a carb rebuild on it this winter. what repair manual is best? which one has the most illustrations and in depth detail that a rookie like myself has the best chance of understanding? thanks. :confused:

    carb rebuild

    i have a 1972 9.8 hp merc. serial # 3267352. my question is this. my carb is seaping fuel. i'm sure the gaskets are all original and need to be replaced. my local boat shop seems pretty crappy seeing how i've taken it there for other issues before and they never fail to mess something up...
