    yesterday I got my rpm gage working . I started the engine and the gage seemed to be working in idle I could speed it up a little 0-1000 . When I took it to the lake starting and stopping the engine it it went from 7000- to 9000 then would not go below 7000 do i need a new gage?

    Right prop for a 17' cajun
