    05 Yamaha F90 Lower unit rebuild

    Some observations and a few questions.... In the middle of a lower unit rebuild for my F90 (2005 model), and currently waiting on gears from Yamaha. Had to bore out the section just in front of were the O-ring lies about 3/8" deep just overlapping the pinion hole, due to the gear fragments...

    Seal sealant......

    My yamaha manual suggest Loctite 572 for lower unit seals. Given up on finding it locally. Will Permatex ATV high temp sealant around the seal and surface do as well? Thanks for the help in advance

    Installing Rectifier

    Compresson on 150 Johnson

    I have readings of 85 psi on all three left side and 95 psi on right. Isn't this a little low? Would decarbing help? It is a 1989 model. Thanks :)
