My 98' searay 3.0 merc will not advance beyond 10 degrees @ 3000rpm. I set base timing @ 1btdc w/ wht wires jumped and shift selenoid bypassed. I was told it could it be the ignition module. Where is it and how much $ ?
I just picked up a 98'[ searay 175 fixer upper. The timing mark on the balancer is showing up on the left side of the water pump pulley instead of the right side with the timing indicator. What's going on???????
