    trying to add depth finder to a gps276c

    Hurricane prep

    I have removed the crankshaft pulley on my 1988 3 liter mercruiser to replace the timing gear cover.     88 3.o mercruiser gimbal bolt removal

    Do I need a special tool to remove the gimbal pivot bolts located under the trim sending units? Is this a pretty straight forward procedure. Any input would be appreciated. I need to replace all the rubber and the water inlet tube and thought it would be easier with the bell housing off. Thanks, Jim
