    Year of motor?

    Can anyone tell me what the year and horsepower of my motor; Serial Number R8157590? It is fully camouflage and I can not tell if it is a Evinrude or Johnson. It is a V4. It is on my jonboat and runs very fast, almost to fast for a jonboat. Thanks!

    Lower unit

    I have a 1998 200 Optimax and would like to know what other years and H.P. would fit my motor. Pricing different lower units in case I have to replace mine. Acting "funny". Thanks!

    Motor dies when put in gear?

    When shifting into gear, the motor dies half of the time, not gently either I should add. It's a 200 Optimax 1998. Sometimes smooth, but getting worse. Please help.

    Linkage Trouble?

    I have a 96'20XD Bullet w/ a 98' 200 Optimax(ser. 0G725312) and when I shift into forward or reverse it will sometimes kill the motor and if does not kill the motor, it will go into gear with a big "clunk". :confused: It does not do this all the time. 1 out of 5 times. I have tried waiting...
