    I have twin 200 Johnson Ocean Pro's. I recently experienced a drop in the port motor of 800-100 rpm. I compression checked all cylinders are good. Changed all plugs, and used engine tuner.     Spark Plugs

    1998 Evinrude Ocean Runner. They call for QL78YC Champions. They show an Alternate plug QL77JC4. States for oil injected motors (VR0. I'vealwasy used the QL78YC as stamped on the motor plate but they stay wet and are good for only 60-70 hoours before gapping to .055. Should I switch?

    RPM DROP while running

    While running at about 48-4900 RPM, the port engine on my 200 occean pro cut back. I then throttled back the starboard so they each ran fine at 4400 RPM.
