    What is the shift linkage under the powerhead for 1991 Johnson 20 hp long shaft ?

    I have some play in my shift linkage. The shift rod in the lower unit does not move immediately with the shift lever. There is play and I can't get the shift rod to move the final @ 1/4 inch to engage forward. I can't figure out what the connection is under the powerhead from the schematics...
