    71' evinrude 6hp.........a little white smoke

    Ok.......replaced the entire water pump assembly, put it all back together, runs great but the exhaust blows white smoke. Not a ton of it but enough to make me wonder.     I am in the middle of replacing the entire water pump on my 71' Fisherman. When I dropped the lower unit the water tube came with it, is this normal? There seems to be a rubber "grommet" (for lack of better terms) up in the housing. I put the hose up there for now. Also it looks like its gonna...
