    All cables have been removed and cleaned. Engine appears to turn freely manually. As stated before, starter is new, however exhibiting the same sympton as the old starter.

    My 2007 Chaparral with 2014 Volvo Penta 5.7 starter clicks once with each turn of key, does not crank. I can feel the starter solenoid engaging but no crank. Starter is NEW, battery is fully charged. Old starter had the same issue as the new one but I was going to replace the starter anyway.

    The over heating came when I dropped the boat in the water after replacing the impeller. I motored at idle speed and watched the temperature rise to 210.
