    Speedometer Repair tip?

    Just got an 80 Bowrider Tempest. Took it in the water and notice that the speeometer does not work. Is there any tips as to how to go about troubleshooting and fixing this? Is theer anyway to test is the speedometer is working witout taking the boat in the water? Thanks.
