    Running in "Safe Mode"

    My 1998 200 hp Yamaha is running in "Safe Mode" will not get up over 2600 RPM. No Alarms. Out fishing,Shut engine off restarted a few hours later. Sounded funny, Gave it the gas and it would not go over 2600 rpm. Limped all the way home in "safe mode" . Rev's fine in neutral, well up over 2600...

    yamaha fuel filter

    Can someone tell me how to remove the fuel filter bowl on my 1998 Yamaha 200. The bowl is soft and hard to get a grip on . Anyone have any tips ? ? ? ? Thanks bob.
