Pics of all the freaking silicone. I know I am gonna find some pinholes so I am taking a shower of aluminum cut to the samw shape and buttered in 5200 and rivited in place. Found a deep gouge on the bow to the other side from the crack so I am gonna stop drill that and patch it too. Since I am...

Well finally got the transom out. I'm guessing I am gonna find some corrosion when I clean the no less than two tubes of silicone out of there. He had the z bar siliconed to the boat and the transom siliconed to it and the aluminum skin. I set up two block and takles so I could alternate pulling...

It's a very fine crack that I still don't think is all the way through. It's not showing up very well. My finger is on what appears to be the end of it in the third picture where the freaking Bondo is I still need to get off. I left that one spot on there to make it easy to find the crack

Work came to a stand still while my mother is in the hospital. Still got some done. My die grinder which I had a wire cup brush in died so I'll pick a other one up after I leave the hospital. I'll finish this up then start replacing rivits. I feel like I'm about to hit a milestone

I would love a 21 foot I think its Jupitor its got the cuddy cabin but there are none to be found here in MD and I dont think my jeep would handle the bigger boat very well. This one does find on the bay if you use some sense. They were built for Lake Erie which is similar to the bay. My 75hp...

The difference between the 75hp and 90hp atleast on mine is negligable. The 90hp seems to have more control at idle. I do crabbing and run a trot line so that control is a big deal. The extra 4mph is noticible during Rock Season when I might have a 90 minute run to a spot. Thats 15 - 30 extra...

Mine ran fine with a 90hp the motor just had more issues than I wanted to deal with so I put a nice 93 Mercury 75 on it. I lost about 4 mph when I did that. Id have to look at the weight rating I probably am close, I did miss type in my gear weight estimate that actually included the fuel not in...

Power is not proportional. I also have a 16 foot flat bottom monarch. With the old 30hp it could do 28ish with just me. With a 75 it did 36ish and with a 90 I could push it to 38. On boats you seem to hit a brick wall around 36 mph and it takes large amounts of power for gains after that. In my...

Well no pics yet. Finished getting the floor up last night and found some pressure treated 2x6 in one spot under it screwed to a rib with mild steel screws rusted almost to nothing lucky it looks like the foam kept them out of direct contact with the ribs. I cant believe the screws didn't punch...

The jeep is a 93. I like leaf springs. I had it on 37s but I stepped down to 35s I have steel in my back and it was getting hard to get in and out off. I am an avid off roader overlanding and rock crawling. I kinda wish I would have gotten one of the ones with the cuddy cabin and lifted the...

I am using the Amazon version. From what I have seem the sheets arent cut parallel with the lines. But I am sure I can make it look good enough. I am doing the floor in it and the consoles and I am thinking about doing the top of the gunwales with it. She is getting Red gatorglide on the...

Oh I was I left it hanging by the transom while I was removing the floor. Looks like one side started to budge a tiny bit that I hadnt noticed. I am going to mess with it more tonight after work. I still need to get the out and I need to get one last floorboard up from the hell that is flotation...

This is where it's at today. Getting those boards off the foam is damn near impossible. Getting the foam out of the boat sucks too. Still haven't gotten the transom out. He siliconed it to the z channel and the z channel to the hull. I haven't been able to pop the z channel off either

I think I am going to use marine tex Todo exactly that. I'll be getting the rotted transom out today I wanna see what the inside looks like before I make a final decision. I'm just glad so far the 30 or so rivits I have drilled out only the rivits are corroded. I was thinking 5200 for it and I...
