    Docking and UNDOCKING alone. You have to have a TOOL to ALWAYS be reliable. When you are in wind and wave conditions !! I have 2 excellent AIDS. I control the docking with them completely.

    I have found many people just put the BIG battery switch in BOTH. And do that for reliability. I do not bother to discuss what they are doing when a battery shorts out.

    Usually it is all the paint chips building up inside the pump & filters. Time for a person experienced to do inspection & repair before the pump goes.

    Automatic bilge pump, not being very automatic

    Why I always go down to the boat after a fair amount of ran. Turn on the key and check battery voltage. Then start the engine on fast idle. Then turn on both pumps with the 2 switches. That checks both pumps and battery condition and alternator function. (y)

    The Rule Electronic pumps fail in 2.. 6 month seasons. I only use them with a switch control. They then last forever.
