    Well contrary to what internet says after washing with xylene a dewaxer and dawn, acetone took it off just fine, I could see it cloudy on black so tried different things

    I'd imagine ammonia would remove it but reading up on parrifin wax they say xylene works because it's oil based and binds with it, then I used engine degreaser to make sure all of it was clean, citrus based also wiped with dawn because they say that works as well, I think I got it lol

    Ugh so can I do a acid wipe down on gelcoat with wax to remove wax, the flake is rough so don't wanna try sanding and messing the flake up but wanna shoot a thick coat of clear and sand that smooth but realized the clear I mixed flake in was waxed not my non waxed so ...

    Yeah at 20 ft it just looks silver like what was original, just thought the up close looked cool :)

    Ok so got the transom cap and well done with the originals color and I think I matched original pretty good I'll get pics of transition

    I did managed to light sand one side it looks 10 times better with the old yellowed clear gelcoat knocked down

    Well heat isn't the problem lol the constant rainstorms are sigh get all my stuff get siked up and mother nature has other plans!
