    Electric over hydraulic brakes

You apply power to the yellow wire and it works? What if you manually apply 12v to the blue wire which is normally driven by your brake controller? BYW...that is one of the tests.

No ground in fuel pump relay socket Volvo Penta 4.3 GXI

Ripjmk is correct...the ECM creates the ground path. You will not be able to measure it at the connector.

HELP - trying to drive in inner bearing race... NEED TRICKS

I had a trailer that used that same sized race that you have. I didn't buy my races and bearings until I pulled them off the hub to check the numbers. Same applies for the seal.

    Best boat trailer lights

I use the trailer as a ground but I bet my connection doesn't look like most people's! it has a dedicated hole with a stainless steel screw with a heat shrinked ring connector and then painted over so that it's water tight. No soldering unless you absolutely have to. Heat shrink crimps only. I...

HELP - trying to drive in inner bearing race... NEED TRICKS

I am sure if you double checked the number on the races you would have seen immediately they were a different part number.

Glad you figured it out. For the future, put the races in the freezer for an hour before you install and use a race installer like this set...

As you should. Also makes the shift cable last much longer as well.

    New style volvo bellows

Personally, they are an improvement. On the old style, if you accidently started the engine in the full up position, there was a possibility of the bellows getting cut by the u-joints since there was some "squish" to the bellows. Not with the new design.

    Trim ram maxium extension

There were some Volvo drives equipped with a trim tilt limit module but never on any boats I have seen. My understanding is that Volvo stopped using them years ago since they were such a major PITA and wouldn't work if the trim sender started failing which is pretty common. I believe they were...

    New style volvo bellows

Last bellows I put in were the new style. I was impressed with them and would put them in again if I ever have a Volvo again. I change bellows every 5 years just like DonS always recommended.

    Neighbor that hasn't returned tools

Buy new bits and never ever loan him anything again. The reason he hasn't given them back is he either doesn't have them anymore or can't find them.

Pontoons - Growth from being slipped...what is it?

My pontoon has the identical deposits. I just live with it. I have tried acid and other chemicals. If I ever really want it off, it will have to be with a sander. Mine is moored in Big Bear Lake from April through October, but previously, it was in Havasu which is where it got most of it.
