    Is there a certian way that the lift cylinders on a 1985 302 v8 w/ OMC 800 outdrive need to be bled? I had the trim motor rebuilt and the marina tested the pump to insure that it holds pressure, now when I set the trim, the motor does not stay in that position very long. There is no fluid...

    omc selectrim in full down position

    I have a 1985 boat with a 305 engine and the selectrim motor apears to be shorted internally. It is currently in a position were the front of the engine is down. My question is will I cause any damage to the engine if I run the boat like that until I can gat the trim motor fixed?
