    Thanks. Once I measure the #2 cylinder after cleaning it I can see if it needs to be bored. I can probably hone it. Any idea what size pistons these have I see .010 all the way to .040 but what is stock? This piston just started to get damaged.

    You were right cyl number 2 read 0 or 5 compression on one engine and 110 on the other. Is this a headgasket issue or piston rings and/or cylinder.     OK I just got a picture sent from one guy with one of the manuals and the 120HP that has the Prestolite ignition needs to adjust to 28BTDC. The thunderbolts are at 32BTDC. That is great to know. I initially put it at 32 but did not run or turn it on. I will go change and do the compression.

    I bought a book but it's a 92 model with the thunderbolt ignition mine is Prestolite. On the timing the thunderbolt shows cranking at 32 to get 30 degrees at running.     Thanks for responding. Can you be more specific on that? You're talking about drilling behind the cracks at the stringers by the transom? I can get to the stringers through the battery compartment on both sides. Trying to learn on how to do that. Not versed on it all yet but getting there.

    I read you I ordered a 14.5x17 to at least get me in the ball park rpm at WOT. I don't remember what the original prop was but I have a feeling I went up an inch when I replaced following the same theory that bigger is better. I am not 100% certain of this but I get that feeling.

    I did the Base timing check and in my opinion it's right on 10, manual says 8 though but close enough see for yourself. Also there is a picture included with the purple white wire. I will redo the mixture at 1 1/4 and set idle at 650. The speed has to be done in the water I think...
