It’s a metal housing . I was afraid to use to much heat . I have the prop shaft out already . So taking the pinion gear off the end of the DS would be the next step in removing the DS right ? Is that nut reverse thread ? Grind down a wrench to fit as flat on the nut as possible then turn the DS...

Gm , my wife has been pushing for a newer golf cart the last 2 years . The one we have is ok but pretty slow . Since COVID the price of even used carts seems like it doubled . My boss has a really nice one he is selling . So may end up with that one ..
