    I mega ohmed the trim motor. It showed no shorts from winding to winding. And no shorts to ground.

    This is a 2000 motor. It has its very own repair manual in 2000 not many were built. Bombardier was taking over OMC after bankruptcy.

    I had the same problem last year. I went after the fuel system. I thought I found the problem. He tank has a check valve in it. The ball seamed to flutter. I removed the check ball fitting. It did it one more time on a test run at full throttle. And then the problem stopped all on its own...

    On my trim motor I have 3 wires coming out going up in the motor. Black green and white. The green actually plugs into a black wire. I didn't trace the other 2 wires. Just the crushed and unplugged one. The motor still trimmed up and down with the green unplugged. But the relays sounded...

    I believe I just found my problem. No sure why it would cause loss of engine power only on the top end ,and when the trim up is being pushed. The trim motor has 3 wires. Black white green. The green wire was unplugged. And one side of the plug ,the wire has been smashed
