    I should maybe mention this is a 1976 Evinrude 115hp. Unknown hours on it.

    Smells like gas sludge from L.U.

    This seems to have just started this year, got much worse after the last time out. I have a brown “sludge” kind of stuff leaking from areas of the lower unit, no it’s not gear lube, that smells like gas. any ideas what it could be?
