    its a BEAR to get it started! where should i start? carb rebuild or just the idle screw? once running, runs great. starts good once warmed up. ran it with the quicksilver power tuner and now it runs smoother.

    I'm new to this sea foam formula..

    I have always had mercury outboards and always ran marvel mystery oil in the 50:1 mix. Haven't had any issues but am considering the sea foam. Which one has a better reputation for added protection and lube for a gas/oil mixture.

    I'm having trouble starting my 1976 200 20hp mercury Difficult to get going and when it finally starts,.. its rpm sor and then the outboad quits. Is it a bad low speed coil?I dont want to do any harm so this only happened 2/3 times and I put it back away.

    Can I simply switch my 1976 20hp bad powerhead and replace it with a 1975 20hp powerhead? at first glance they look very similiar.. but the REAL question is are they? thanks for any input!
