    1988 Evinrude 25hp water pump

    I have recently gotten an evinrude 25 outboard motor and boat from my uncle, (inherited it). I am trying to replace the water pump and can't seem to get the gearbox to drop. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but just can't get this thing to completely drop out. It comes down about 3/4 of an inch...
