    Can't seem to adjust timing

    Working on my 97 Volvo 7.4L. I'm trying to adjust the timing, but when I put the timing light on it I don't see any movement of the line. I can move the distributor both ways until the engine dies but I node's see a change. What am I missing here?

    Replaced block, but only running on 4 cylinders

    My 97 Cobalt is at the shop getting a new block after an unfortunate freezing incident last winter. It's a speed shop, but the guy also does cars and occasionally boats.
