Anyway, now I'm calmed with a very, very cold beverage in hand I did decide to run new wire anyway. Forgot I need to add a horn so better to have 10 ga than the 12 and 14 that are in there now. Should be able to still use them for the lines out to the devices.

OK my brother did confirm that I'm not too bright. That dam newfangled stuff is too complicated. It was set on auto so the 'high' reading was auto setting to milivolts. Took off auto and set to volts and all good. My old school one I know how set to test DC volts, ac volts and ohms...

New twist. So to appease my brother, I bought a new digital meter. This is the one I was using. Set to v, DC, all read well except listed above. In frustration I grabbed my analog, with a dam needle and the one that reads 26.xx on digital reads zero on my old school meter

Def only one battery, I'm rebuilding from a gut job. Was trying to be frugal with the wiring but I put in a pvc tube for a wire chase so won't be too difficult. Still odd on the voltage with only one battery

Decided to put in a fuse block for my three items that need it to replace the two 43 year old circuit breakers. I want to use old wiring but some became disconnected during my rehab. I have a red, two blacks and two greys. The greys remained hooked up to the nav lights and i just jumped...

82 Starcraft MR 180 floor, slight refit and leaks

OK, I've decided to add a fuseblock for the bilge, livewell and nav lights. The switches are new and the tips are all rusty and they have circuit breakers now that are 43 years old. The existing wire looks to be maybe 12 ga so good there. The fuses appear to be 2am so assuming the fuse I...

Yeah thinking back to my bayliner I think I remember those. I didn't know about tabs at the time but for listing I would have liked them. If they will fit.

I didn't want to restore this 1997 Islander this summer

On the pink I decided that it would leave channels for drainage. The top of my foam was pretty dry as well but the bottom half was wet especially towards the back. In my 18 foot boat I'm guessing I got rid of maybe an extra 75 lbs of wet. Not as dramatic as some of the stories I've seen...

Don't know about the west but what I've seen here over the years is scabbing in is usually 5200 bed, then gluvit over the top.

Are you scraping out all the foam to expose all rivets? I did not want to but am sure glad I did. Prob an extra 50 replaced I would not have. I put off a couple surgeries I was going have this year, 50% because of my boat needed the work and didn't want to wait almost a year to heal...

Hooked up a fuel line and muffs, she fired up first try. Need to finish the livewell plumbing then to the lake to putt around for water leak test and such before I pop in the last floor panel.

    Older Ryobi 18v drill battery

Do NOT buy name brand. Temu or ebay knock offs are perfect and half the price. I bought two 4 ah ones from ebay last fall and to date they are flawless. I'm a semi pro, do handyman work and keep a six bank charger in the vehicle at all times so they are charging any time I drive. I keep...
