    Intermitent horn alarm in Mercruiser 4.3 MPI

    My Mercruiser 4.3 MPI sometimes sounds an alarma beep twice every 10 to 12 seconds and sometimes does not. A mechanic told me that it has to do with the electric fuel pump heating up. Is this so and how serious it is?
